What a fantastic evening it was! On Friday, the 29th of August, our community came together at the Lonestar Tavern Function Room to celebrate a milestone with our Anniversary Ball. The air was filled with excitement and friendship as we marked another year of culture, community, and good times. It was a wonderful night, and we want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made it so special.
The Lonestar Tavern provided a brilliant setting for our celebration. The function room was perfect for the occasion, and we’ve heard so many positive comments about the delicious food served throughout the evening. It truly set the stage for an unforgettable event.
Dazzling Entertainment and Special Guests
No celebration is complete without great music, and our favorite musicians, Frank & Zoltan, did not disappoint. They kept the energy high and the dance floor lively, providing the perfect soundtrack for the night. Their performance was, as always, a highlight for everyone in attendance.
Adding to the magic of the evening was a spectacular ballroom dancing floor show by the incredibly talented Christopher Wilson & Jordan Kopp-Collins. Their performance was a stunning display of skill and artistry that captivated the entire room. We were also honored to have a special guest, Mark Wilson, a well-known dance teacher on the Gold Coast and a judge from “Dancing with the Stars.” Mark, Christopher’s father, offered fascinating insights into the dances, adding a unique and educational layer to the beautiful performance.
A Heartfelt Acknowledgment
A particularly touching moment of the night came from our friends at the Gold Coast Hungarian Senior Citizen Club. President Ferenc Arva and his wife, Marta Novak, presented us with a beautiful gift basket and a Certificate of Appreciation to acknowledge our 50th Club Anniversary. This thoughtful gesture was a wonderful symbol of the friendship and respect between our communities, and we are incredibly grateful for their support and recognition.
Congratulations to Our Winners!
The excitement continued with our Lucky Door Prize draw. We want to extend a big congratulations to our three lucky winners of the night:
- Benjulee Schmidt
- Renate Waldock
- Edita Benton
We hope you enjoy your prizes!
Thank you once again to every member, guest, performer, and friend who made our Anniversary Ball a resounding success. It was a true celebration of our heritage and the vibrant community we have all built together. We are already looking forward to creating more wonderful memories with you all.
