As the Gold Coast winter settles in, there’s no better place to warm up than Zum Schilling — the Australian German Club’s restaurant right here in Robina.
We’ve introduced two seasonal additions to the menu that are pure comfort in a glass and on a plate.
Glühwein — Traditional German Mulled Wine
A staple of German winter culture, Glühwein (pronounced “glue-vine”) is warm spiced red wine, traditionally enjoyed during the colder months at Christmas markets across Germany. Our version stays true to the classic recipe — warming, aromatic, and the perfect companion to a cool Queensland evening. At just $10.50 a glass, it’s one of winter’s great pleasures.
Menu Special: Half Roast Duck with Sour Cherry Sauce
This season’s feature dish is a beautifully roasted half duck served with a rich sour cherry sauce, braised red cabbage, and creamy potato mash. It’s hearty, generous, and unmistakably German. Available while stocks last, so we strongly recommend booking ahead to avoid missing out.
Whether you’re joining us for a quiet midweek dinner or a weekend catch-up with friends, our kitchen team is ready to bring a little taste of a German winter to the Gold Coast.
